Whole Herd tested CAE, CL and Johnes Negative Sept. 26, 2018
We raise and breed Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. We chose this breed for several reasons, the first being that our daughter being only 8 at the time and fairly small wanted to show her goats and the Nigerian seemed to be the perfect size for her to handle in the show ring. Nigerians, even though they are the smallest of the recognized breeds of dairy goats provide enough milk for our family and make the sweetest and creamiest cheeses. They come in many different colors and patterns and well, we think they are just the cutest things ever.
Now that we have been raising them for several years and are now breeding and milking them, we wouldn’t have gone with any other breed, they are perfect for our small farm.
